Cinnamon Sugar Roasted Figs
Cinnamon Sugar Roasted Figs are caramelized, sweet, sticky, gooey. Perfect by itself or great on vanilla ice cream or fresh yogurt.
- 10-12 Fresh figs
- 4 Tbsp Brown sugar
- 1 Tsp Cinnamon powder
- 1/2 Tsp Nutmeg -grated
- 1-2 Tbsp Balsamic vinegar glaze
Preheat the oven to Broil.
Line baking sheet with parchment paper or foil paper.
Cut the figs in halves or quarters depending on size.
Mix together, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg on a large plate.
Coat each piece of fig in cinnamon and sugar mixture and place on baking sheet.
Place baking sheet with figs on the top oven rack and broil for 3-5 minutes, or until the sugar starts to caramelize. Keep an eye on it as they tend to burn quickly!
Remove from oven and let it cool slightly before drizzling with balsamic glaze.
Serve with yogurt, toast or simply enjoy this sweet gooey goodness by itself!
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for a few days. You can enjoy cold right out of the fridge or you can reheat in an oven or toaster oven.
